Volunteers Needed for Our Animal Shelter in Tenerife

We are looking for volunteers aged 25 and over who would like to support our team at the shelter in Tenerife with the daily care of our dogs and cats. We are also happy to receive support with photography and filming.

For volunteering on site, we require a minimum stay of 8 weeks. During this time, our volunteers can stay free of charge in the shelter’s finca. As some of the rooms are also shared with dogs and cats, volunteers should not have allergies to animal hair.

If you would like to support our Arche on site, please complete the form. We will then check whether a room is available at the shelter and get back to you as soon as possible.

All volunteer places for 2026 have already been filled. Unfortunately, we therefore cannot consider any further applications for 2026.

International Youth Volunteer Service (IJFD)
You can also participate in the International Youth Volunteer Service (IJFD) with us—a government-funded volunteer program for young people aged 18 and older. The placement typically lasts 12 months and includes educational support. Together with our partner VIA e.V. https://www.via-ev.org/, we offer you this placement in animal welfare on Tenerife.
