These matters can only be addressed through a will. We rely on donations, as we receive no government funding. These donations can also include legacies. Nearly 70% of Germans don’t write a will, often because they don’t like to think about their own mortality. However, without a will, legal succession takes effect, which may not align with the deceased’s wishes. In some cases, the state may inherit the estate if there are no legal heirs. This can be prevented. If you include a particularly worthy organization in your will, your allocated assets will fully benefit those in need.
